Champion Swims & The Journey with 27North: A Weekend to Remember

This past weekend, the 27North team wasn’t at a trade show or pushing forward on another round of vehicle deliveries. We were poolside — cheering on an incredible young athlete who reminds us daily why hard work, grit, and relentless passion are part of our DNA.
Our daughter, now just 12 years old, has been putting in the work seven days a week since she was eight — setting goals, breaking records, and never letting up. From her first record-setting mile swim (66 laps!) at just 10 years old, to earning the title of North Dakota champion by age 11, her drive mirrors everything 27North stands for. Watching her dive in this weekend at the stunning Lenexa, Kansas aquatic center felt like more than just a meet — it felt like a reflection of the journey we’re on as a company. Pushing limits. Refusing to settle. Chasing excellence.
But this wasn’t just a weekend about medals and personal bests — it was about the experience. Between hotel hopping, hauling bags, and squeezing in every moment of rest we could before another early-morning start, we decided to take the 27North Venture X out for a real-world test.
As the sun dipped low on our drive into town Friday evening, we pulled into a gas station and caught a golden Kansas sunset reflecting off the matte black finish and digicamo of our Venture Van. That’s the kind of moment you remember...

Within minutes of arriving at the aquatic center, we found a front-row parking spot, stepped inside our van, and relaxed in our oversized bed without ever checking into a hotel lobby.
Saturday started with hot showers, warm breakfast at our Laguna bench table, and the rising sun pouring through our panoramic windows — just steps from the pool deck. The meet was electric. Our swimmer showed up, gave her all, and made us proud. And when it was time to move on? We didn’t wait on elevators or search for lost room keys. We loaded up in seconds, hit a few must-stop mall locations, and parked with ease — fitting perfectly into a regular-size parking spot. Even in the busiest Saturday crowd, we didn’t take up an inch more space than the car next to us.
That night, we parked again with confidence, falling asleep to a thunderstorm rolling through — another reminder of just how cozy and soundproof life inside a Venture X can be. Sunday morning brought more races and more wins. Others at the meet spoke about their long commutes, their early wake-ups, and the complexity of their weekend logistics. For us, it was one more reason to be grateful for the lifestyle the 27North platform provides.

On the way home, we stopped by a vineyard to stretch our legs and enjoy the quiet beauty of rolling grapevines (some of us a little too tired to take it all in), and capped off our trip by meeting family for a sweet reward at our family's favorite custard stop. As the rain came down, we slipped back into the Venture X — seven of us comfortably seated, enjoying our treats, dry and surrounded by warmth, good company, and laughter.
This weekend wasn’t just about swim lanes and ribbons. It was about proving once again that 27North isn’t just a vehicle — it’s a way of life. Whether you’re chasing gold in the pool or chasing sunsets on the road, it’s a reminder that comfort, adventure, and excellence are all possible — together.
Here’s to raising champions — in our families, on the road, and through every mile forward.
